Only hitch i have found is that the audio is sometimes choppy.
Thus for the headless Mac Mini, can support 2 native driven displays while the MacBook Air / Pro, could merely support 1 native external display with the Built in Retina display. i got it on amazon for something like 45. The base M1 chip has a 'Display Engine' (the GPU like premise), it is capable of driving 2 display at a time. Aukey made a great USB-C power pass-thru adapter that includes USB 3.0 ports and HDMI port as well. I've filed the issue reports a few times, but it feels a bit hopeless. Im using that dock on MBP for additional screen + printer. It is a really disappointing, frustrating issue. I've even had the SMC fail and had to reset it due to this issue, and it affects my work several times a month. I have had just terrible trouble with crashes as well on my brand new MacBook Pro this year, but connecting a LG Ultrafine and a Display Port (or HDMI via a DisplayPort → HDMI cable) display results in an unpredictable, crash-prone environment.
